Lima, the second largest city in the world settled in a desert after Cairo, has an amazing ecosystem that is globally unique. I am referring to the phenomenon of its Coastal Hills, which are transformed into seasonal floral oases in the midst of an arid environment. The winter mists, coming from the Pacific Ocean and intercepted by the Andean foothills rich in minerals and possessing a generous seed bank, cover the Hills with huge blankets of flowers during the wet season, June-November. While in the dry season, December-May, it is a desert. Here is the capture of these magical moments.
